None of those features are necessarily unusual as they can be found on plenty of other gaming monitors. What is unusual is what AOC is charging. Typically, AOC monitors are on the more affordable end compared to companies like Samsung, ASUS, and LG. This one though, which AOC is calling the Agon Pro PD32M, comes with a fairly high price tag. You can pre-order the 32-inch monitor now on the Porsche Design website for the not so low price of $1,799. Mind you, that price isn’t necessarily unreasonable given the specs and the partner brand attached to it.
The Porsche Design monitor from AOC has a peak brightness of 1600 nits
Rest in peach to your eyes if you’re every browsing white-clad websites in dark rooms when using this monitor. As AOC claims it comes with a peak brightness of 1,600 nits. Which is, insanely high. Keep in mind that these brightness levels are possible because of the mini LED technology. Which is the same kind of tech you’ll find in TV models like the QN900B Neo QLED Smart TV from Samsung. Aside from the brightness levels, the monitor also offers a refresh rate of 144Hz. That’s by no stretch the highest refresh rate you can get on a gaming monitor. But 144Hz is perfectly fine for pretty much any game. And more than enough for consoles like the PS5 and Xbox Series X which go up to 120Hz. The monitor also features two 8-watt speakers that are DTS Sound-certified, and comes with multiple ports. It even has headphone holders on either side of the monitor, and a bevy of RGB lighting on the backside. From a functional standpoint, the headphone holders might be one of the best inclusions. Because it gives you a place to keep your headphones when not in use without having to take up any desk space for a headphone stand. Which frees up space for other stuff. The monitor may be expensive, but it also looks to be a pretty decent option. If you can stomach the price.
