First Huawei P50 Pocket renders have appeared, showing us its design
Now, this will become Huawei’s first clamshell foldable smartphone, a direct competitor to the Galaxy Z Flip 3. If you take a look at the gallery below the article, you’ll be able to see the newly-leaked renders. We’ve seen a sketch of this phone recently, and a third-party case for it, but this is the first time we’re seeing actual renders. It seems like that sketch was quite accurate, though. Four renders are included in the gallery, and they are almost the same. The only difference is in that small display on the back, as different parts of the UI are shown there. The Huawei P50 Pocket will fold vertically, and its hinge will be hidden away when it’s folded. It will include two circular modules on the back. The top one will host the phone’s camera sensors, while the bottom one will include that small, secondary display.
There are still a lot of unknowns when it comes to this phone
We still didn’t see this phone’s main display, but it will be flat, and likely include a display camera hole. We’re also expecting its bezels to be quite thin, by the way. The device itself seems to be made out of metal and glass, but we cannot confirm that just yet. Huawei’s teaser for this phone was posted via global social media channels, so we’re hoping that Huawei will launch this device globally. One thing is for sure, Google services won’t be included on it, but Huawei’s will come out of the box. We’re still not sure about its specs either. We can only guess at this point, as absolutely no information surfaced regarding that. Huawei will almost certainly include either high mid-range, or high-end specs on the inside. Don’t expect this smartphone to be cheap, though. Not a single one foldable in the market is cheap, though some are more expensive than others. We are expecting this thing to cost less than the Huawei Mate X2, though.
