This app will allow you to use the watch to “check your heart for signs of atrial fibrillation, an irregular heart rhythm”, which basically confirms the feature of the watch. It will also allow you to create a PDF of the results in case you need to share it with your doctor.
The Fitbit ECG app will be available in “select countries”
It is noted, in the app’s description, that it will be available in “select countries”. It is also noted that the app is not intended for use by people under 22 years of age. So, how do you use this, to get a reading? Well, there are instructions laid out in the official screenshots. Once you install the app, and set everything up, you can proceed with an ECG reading. You’ll need to “rest your finger lightly on the face of crown. Don’t touch wrist or watch with other fingers”. This goes for the Pixel Watch, of course. You’ll need to keep the finger still while the watch and the app are doing their thing. After that, the app will analyze the reading, and share the results with you, as shown in the screenshots below. That is basically all we know about this application at the moment. It will be free to download and use, of course.
The Google Pixel Watch will become official later today
The Google Pixel Watch is coming later today. Google will announce it during a press event, along with the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro smartphones. The watch leaked out a ton of times thus far, and quite frankly, we have a lot of info about it. The Pixel Watch will be smaller than most modern smartwatches, which is good news for some people. It will offer a circular body, and a minimalistic design. It will have a rotating crown on the right side, along with an extra button there. The crown itself will also double as a physical button.
