The FCC has certified two models of the Galaxy XCover 6 Pro: SM-G736U and SM-G736U1. These could be carrier-locked and unlocked variants of the rugged tablet for the US market, respectively. The former was also spotted in a Google Play Console listing last month. The listing on the FCC database confirms the rumors that the upcoming Samsung tablet will be available in a 128GB storage variant. Further, it confirms dual SIM support too. Another piece of information that we could dig out from the FCC documents is the charging speed. The Galaxy XCover 6 Pro should charge at 25W (9.0 V, 2.77 A or 11.0 V, 2.25 A). The documents also show the schematics of the new device. It gets a familiar rugged design with plenty of grip around the edges. The FCC certification doesn’t reveal much else about the Galaxy XCover 6 Pro. But there’s not much left to know thanks to prior leaks. The latest sighting is an indication that the device’s official unveiling isn’t too far off.
The Galaxy XCover 6 Pro is nearing its official unveiling
As said before, the Galaxy XCover Pro 6, also referred to as the XCover Pro 2, has been subject to numerous leaks in the past. It has also appeared on various certifications and benchmark listings in recent months. All of these sightings have revealed something or the other about the device, including the design. Based on the leaked info, the new rugged Samsung tablet will sport a 6.56-inch AMOLED display with a Full HD+ (1080 x 2408 pixels) resolution. The display refresh rate may remain on the slower side of things with just 60Hz reported. It will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 778G chipset with 6GB of RAM. The device may also come in other memory and storage configurations, though. The Galaxy XCover Pro 6 will reportedly feature a 50-megapixel primary camera at the back. A 12-megapixel or an 8-megapixel ultrawide lens will give it company. The front-facing camera will be a 13-megapixel sensor. The whole package will run on a 4,050mAh battery. Reports suggest that the Galaxy XCover Pro 6 will run Android 12-based One UI 4.1 out of the box. So it should be going official pretty soon as the Android 13 era is just around the corner.
