This Android 12 Gmail bug hid the ‘Undo’ function
Everyone makes accidental taps and swipes from time to time, and Google acknowledges this. When you get an email notification, you have the option to archive it immediately. However, if you do so by accident, you would usually have the option to undo it. For a couple of seconds after you press Archive, the undo option will pop up before the notification disappears. You press it to bring the notification back. On Android 12, however, users have been dealing with a bit of an inconveniencing bug. After pressing archive, the undo button wouldn’t appear; you’d just get a blank notification. The option would only appear if you minimize the notification.
But don’t worry, the bug is fixed
This bug isn’t exactly the “end of times”, but it can be a pain in the neck. Fortunately, Google fixed this Gmail bug for Android 12 users. The undo option will pop up as it’s supposed to. This didn’t require an entire system update, just one on Gmail’s end. Google released a new update to the app. Those using Gmail version 2021.11.14 won’t run into the issue. If you’re still having issues with the notification, then you might not be on the most up-to-date version of the app. Tap and hold the Gmail app icon and tap the app info button (the “!” up top). Scroll to the bottom to see your app’s version number. If it’s not version 2021.11.14, then tap “App Details.” This will take you to the Play Store app where you should have the option to update it.

Sometimes, we want to capture more than what a simple screenshot can take. This is where extended screenshots come in. Google’s version called “Scrolling Screenshot” gives you the option to capture more after taking the initial screenshot. One issue is that it doesn’t work with all apps. Surprisingly, Google’s own Chrome browser didn’t support this feature. Fortunately, this feature is now available for the browser. All you need to do is open a page and take a screenshot. When you get the preview, there should be a “Capture More” option next to the edit and share options. Tap it to take longer screenshots.
