Now that the Cover Display is a whole lot larger, it is also a whole lot more useful. You can see notifications and actually read them. In fact, you can read two notifications at a time, and even scroll through them. But Samsung has also added a way to add widgets to the Cover Display. Allowing you to swipe over to see things like the weather, your music/podcasts that are currently playing and a few other things. Today, we’re going to show you how to add widgets to the Galaxy Z Flip 3’s Cover Display, and also how to reorder these widgets. Because that is also possible. Don’t forget that you can still pre-order the Galaxy Z Flip 3 and get it for as low as $499 with trade-ins and also get $150 in Samsung credit.
How To Add Widgets To The Galaxy Z Flip 3’s Cover Display
Pull down the notification shade. Tap on the gear icon in the corner, to get into the Settings.
Scroll down to “Cover Screen” and tap on it. This will be in the second section with the Display, Home Screen and Lock Screen options.
Next, tap on “Widgets”. It’ll be the second option.
Here you can turn on and off the different widgets that appear on the Cover Display. These include Weather, Music, Today’s Schedule, Next Alarm, Samsung Health and Timer.
Now tap on the toggles for those Widgets you want to appear on the Cover Display. And now you’re all set. Now on the Cover Display, you can swipe right to left to get to these different widgets. If you swipe left to right, you’ll open notifications.
How To Reorder Widgets on the Cover Display
You can also reorder the widgets on the Cover Display to your liking. To do this, do the following: Open up Settings. Tap on Cover Screen. Then tap on Widgets. Next, tap on “Reorder” in the upper right-hand corner.
On this screen, you can drag-and-drop the widgets to your liking. Keep in mind that this will only show you the widgets you have enabled. So if there is something missing, go back and enable the widget(s) that is/are missing. And now you’re all set. The widgets will not show up in this order on the Cover Display.
