Now with Hulu + Live TV, you’re getting Live TV with over 80 channels, unlimited DVR and the Disney+ bundle all for $70 per month. One might argue that it is a better option than YouTube TV now. The feature will roll out to all Hulu + Live TV subscribers starting on April 13. It’ll support playback and fast-forwarding on recordings for up to nine months. That’s the same as YouTube TV. So it’ll continue to record new and old episodes, so that your content basically stays on Hulu + Live TV’s DVR until it leaves whatever channel is removed. Hulu has offered a DVR service before, and supported up to 50 hours of DVR space for free. But users could upgrade to 200 hours of storage through add-ons which would range from $10 to $15 per month. Now users get even more space, and a discount on their bill if they had upgraded.
Hulu + Live TV becomes the best all-around streaming TV service
As mentioned, you will now be getting Hulu + Live TV with over 80 channels, Disney+, ESPN+, the Hulu library and unlimited cloud DVR all for just $70. That is a really great bundle, and is going to give YouTube TV a real run for its money. Unfortunately, Hulu + Live TV, like many other services, no longer has a number of regional sports networks like the Bally Sports channels. Only DIRECTV Stream has Bally Sports channels, for now. Sinclair is still planning to launch its own streaming service with these channels later this year. Those that want live TV, watch a lot of Disney, and want unlimited DVR, Hulu + Live TV is the perfect option. And at $70, it’s a steal.
