Hyper Products is now asking users to submit their requests for refund. HyperJuice 130W USB-C Battery Pack, HyperJuice Stackable GaN 65W, and 100W USB-C chargers are the products that the company recalls. According to Hyper Products, its customers reported that the 130W battery packs have overheating issues that cause smoke, melting, and property damage.
Some Hyper chargers and battery packs have overheating issues
The company also received seven reports about overheating in the stackable chargers that pose damage to charging units. Hopefully, these incidents have not resulted in injuries. The 130W battery packs are in the market with the HJ307 model numbers and gray and silver colors. They’re 3 inches wide and 7 inches long. You can check the label at the bottom of the product if you want to know whether you own one of these affected battery packs. The recalled stackable chargers are also available in black and 65W and 100W variants. The model number for the 65W unit is HJ414, and the 100W unit comes with model number HJ417. Check the bottom of the products to match the model numbers. If you own any of these affected products, firstly, you should stop using them because they can cause damage to your health and device.
