This Xperia 1 IV leak shows us a phone with noticeable bezels
Sony used to sell smartphones to the general public, but it just couldn’t get much of a foothold in the market outside of Japan. Despite introducing the world’s first phone with a 4K display, it just couldn’t move as many units as Apple or Samsung. Because of this, the company had to shrink away from the mainstream and start developing more niche products. Sony is continuing its trend of bringing taller-than-usual phones to the market. This phone looks to have a 21:9 aspect ratio, which is highly unusual for a phone. Surrounding that display are noticeable top and bottom bezels. While that aesthetic is years old by now, this phone pulls off the look rather nicely. On the right side of the phone, we see the power button/fingerprint scanner right below the volume rocker. Below both of them sits the dedicated camera button. The left side is completely bare with the exception of the antenna line. The back of the Xperia 1 IV looks like it’s made from smooth glass. We see the three cameras and the LED flash all lined up vertically. We can bet that there’s the main camera, an ultrawide, and a telephoto camera. Since this is a phone that’s centered around the camera experience, we should expect some powerful hardware for this phone.
