The Nothing Phone (1) camera specs got confirmed, camera samples shared
The main camera on the back will be a 50-megapixel unit (Sony’s IMX766 sensor, f/1.88 aperture, 1/1.56” sensor size). That camera will support both OIS and EIS, and will be able to capture 10-bit color video. The second camera on the back will be an ultrawide unit, and will offer a 114-degree FoV (field-of-view). The device will support camera night mode, and scene detection as well. Nothing also shared some camera samples. The company shared 8 camera samples
There are 8 camera samples here, and they do show various different scenes. You have a picture of a dog in daylight, and the same goes for a closeup of a cat. In addition to that, a landscape at sunset has been captured by the company, and a subway shot too. Now, it’s worth saying that these camera samples look really good. The images seem well-balanced, reasonably vibrant, and there are no major issues with them. They’re well-exposed, and even light flares are handled well. The Sony IMX766 sensor is a good sensor, as long as Nothing ends up including the right software for it. We’ll wait to make our judgment, though, for when we review the device. We always take official camera samples with a grain of salt. The Nothing Phone (1) will launch tomorrow, July 12. That’s when Nothing will fill in all the blanks, even though a lot of information got shared thus far.
