This is the QN90A series from Samsung, it was released in 2021, so it’s still fairly new. Since the 2022 models have not yet launched. The QN90A has the new NEO Quantum Processor 4K inside. This is going to help elevate your entertainment to 4K clarity. So whether you’re watching something in 720p or 1080p, it’ll get upscaled quite nicely to 4K with this TV, which is really nice. Quantum HDR 32x is here to help make details come to life with ultra-rich color, deep contrast and HDR10+ dynamic tone mapping that shifts the color and contrast scene by scene for spectacular clarity. So what is QLED? Well it stands for “quantum dot light-emitting diode”. And on paper, it actually is better than OLED. Though that’s not always true in the real world. It’s also cheaper to manufacture than OLED, which is why you’ll see it a bit cheaper than an OLED TV would be. So it’s kind of in the middle. But the best part is, there’s no burn-in risk with QLED, like there is with OLED.
