A digital wallet is an interesting concept. It’s a singular unified app where you can access all of your important cards and documents. Just unlock your phone, and you’ll be able to pay for groceries or get on a flight. It’s designed to have a digital copy of your important documents all in one place.
The new Samsung wallet will also be a unified hub for your documents
Each day that goes by, we move closer to an all-digital age, and Samsung is one of the companies helping to push us along. The company was able to establish Samsung Pay and be the only other company to establish a major payment platform aside from Google and Apple. Now, Samsung is looking to push that to the next level with its new digital wallet called Samsung Wallet. With it, you’ll have a similar set of features that we see with other digital wallets. You will be able to store your credit cards and other important cards all on your phone. Along with the aforementioned documents, you’ll also be able to store your Covid-19 vaccination card. But, it shouldn’t stop at cards. The app will also be able to store digital car keys. Those digital car keys will work with certain cars from BMW, Hyundai, and Genesis, and there are other manufacturers planned in the future. When it comes to security, all of your data will be safeguarded by Samsung Knox. Along with that, you’ll also be able to use biometric protection to keep others out of your wallet. If you’re excited about the new Samsung Wallet, it’s available today in the US, Italy, Germany, France, Spain, and The UK. All you have to do is go to your Samsung Pay or Samsung Pass app and follow the prompts to migrate your stuff over to Samsung Wallet.
