The HT-S400 soundbar and subwoofer provide surround sound
Sony usually makes devices that look to make watching TV better. The HT-S400 speaker set is for those who want from their TV setup but don’t want to break the bank. It uses the front-facing soundbar to produce a surround sound experience. It achieves this by using the S-Force Pro Front Surround sound technology. This is coupled with the subwoofer to offer an all-around quality audio experience. The soundbar can be sat on a shelf right under the TV, and that will offer most of the audio that you hear. The subwoofer will, ideally, be put on the floor. This will deliver the lower frequencies that you hear. Sony says that this pair can offer you cinema-quality audio, but you can take that claim with a grain of salt. There are several different connectivity options with the Sony HT-S400 speakers. Firstly, it can integrate pretty seamlessly with Sony TVs, especially with the more modern ones. If you don’t have a Sony TV, you can still connect it to your TV using Bluetooth connectivity. If you want to use a wired connection, you have the option to use HDMI ARC and the optical port.
This is the more affordable speaker set
The HT-S400 speaker sounds like a premium set of speakers, but it’s not the most top-tier set out there. Other devices like the HT-A7000 and the HT-A5000 come with many more features and much higher price tags. As for the HT-S400, you can get them at a pretty affordable price. If you want to buy them, they will set you back only $299. If this speaker set piques your interest, you will have to wait a bit for it. This set will be available starting in April 2022.
