Firstly, T-Mobile is offering $50 off a streaming device of your choice. The offer doesn’t require any minimum purchase amount. So you can get devices that cost less than $50 for free, such as Chromecast, Fire TV, and Roku. If you want to get something else, you can rest assured that you will be getting the “lowest price around”. The $50 discount will also be available on eligible gaming consoles. Additionally, eligible T-Mobile subscribers are getting a 50% discount on YouTube TV for one year. That’s a saving of almost $400. Some T-Mobile phone plans already bundle Netflix, Apple TV+, and Paramount+ streaming services. These exclusive benefits will be available to T-Mobile subscribers starting next Tuesday and every Tuesday throughout this summer. Download the T-Mobile Tuesdays app now if you haven’t already.
T-Mobile has begun disrupting the broadband industry
These perks come as part of T-Mobile’s Internet Freedom strategy. Unveiled yesterday, the “disruptive” Un-carrier strategy makes it incredibly easier for broadband customers to switch to the company’s 5G Home Internet. It is offering a 15-day free trial of the service and also covers early termination fees up to $500 when you break your contract with your existing provider. According to the company, internet providers rank “dead last” in customer satisfaction in the US and that’s because of the terrible service they provide. T-Mobile says broadband providers unnecessarily hike prices without providing any benefits to consumers. They take advantage of customers’ lack of options. If someone wishes to switch to a new provider, the arduous process may put them off. With its 5G Home Internet, the company wants to facilitate your breaking up with “Big Internet”. Along with the aforementioned Internet Freedom program, it also promises price lock-in. You will only pay the current price of $50 per month for as long as you are a customer. Additional lines to an account are price locked at $30 per line per month. To make its broadband service more appealing, T-Mobile is also allowing 5G Home Internet customers to participate in its T-Mobile Tuesdays giveaways. The program was previously only available to customers with a phone plan.
