MelGeek’s new keyboard is compatible with your Lego bricks
Needless to say, this is an interesting approach by the company, as it does give you a lot of freedom. The keyboard is filled with Lego studs, they’re all over the place. You’ll find them on the front, the sides, and the bottom of the board. Now, this keyboard is called the MelGeek Pixel, and it’s a mechanical keyboard. Yes, you can replace its keycaps and switches as well, if you want, which is to be expected. The keyboard does not come with a number pad, though, so it’s a step down from full-sized boards. It sports a tenkeyless design, actually.
You can even use your Lego bricks instead of regular keycaps
Having said that, this keyboard offers even more customization than we mentioned thus far. MelGeek actually included studs beneath each keycap. That gives you a chance to include your own Lego keycaps, if you want. Considering how much customization this keyboard offers, it’s not surprising that the switches themselves are hot-swappable as well. You can easily change them with different ones, that offer more or less clickiness, it’s up to you. The MelGeek Pixel does come with RGB lights as well, and you can opt whether you’d like to use the keyboard wired or wireless. You can easily plug it in, if you want, or use its battery to go wireless.
